Tips and Techniques to Losing Weight Quickly, Easily, Naturally and Safely

Losing weight is probably one of the top priorities on the majority of people's list. With two-third of the population being overweight, it's no wonder we have all the new fad diets, diet foods, and weight loss guides flooding the current market. Will the bombardment ever stop? Or will we endure these weight problems for the rest of our lives? Is there an answer for quick, and lasting weight loss?

Number one: There isn't a quick fix solution, or a quick way to lose weight. Most people who do succeed in losing weight quickly, gain it back just as quick. This isn't healthy on the body, and studies have shown it harms the mind as well.

Number two: There ARE ways to lose weight, and keep it off, in healthy and natural ways that will support you in leading a happy and successful lifestyle.

Being overweight can cause depression, mood swings, chronic diseases, inflammation, insulin resistence, and even lower I.Q.'s. Why continue down this road? Aren't you ready to become slim, trim, and healthy? Don't you want to be gorgeously happy, and full of energy, with an increased life span to boot?

If you are currently not at a healthy weight, then I'm sure you want all of these things, and maybe more. Being at your current state is not what you planned for in your life, and it can cause frustration, lonliness, and sadness. It's time to change your body, and here are the key steps in losing weight and keeping it off:

  • Change Your Diet - I'm pretty sure you have heard this before. In fact, it's probably so overused that it gets brushed over, and not taken as seriously anymore. However, diet is the #1 key to improving your life, and in losing weight. It doesn't have to be a challenge! There are plenty of ways to enjoy yourself and have a good relationship with food while losing weight at the same time.
  • Exercise - Another term that is terribly hounded on most individuals struggling with their weight. Why list this as #2? Because in order to exercise, you need to have the right amount of essential nutrients to have energy to exercise, which is where diet is central. Also, you need to be well hydrated to perform at your best ability when exercising. There are many fun ways to incorporate exercise, either by dancing, brisk walking, yoga, jumping rope, swimming, volleyball, basketball, riding a bike, hiking, etc. In fact, sense "exercise" seems to have a bad rap, and since it denotes the feeling of hard work, don't call it exercise. Call it a hobby or sport.
  • Change the Way You Think - This is a very, very important step in losing weight and becoming healthy. In fact, it probably should be your number one priority. If you continue to think that exercise is too hard, and that eating right is too difficult, then you won't succeed. Your actions are based primarily on the thoughts you think and the beliefs you hold. Freeing yourself from these beliefs will provide you with a wonderful sense of liberation, and replacing these thoughts with thoughts of success and health will motivate you toward a healthier and happier lifestyle.

Let's look at these step by step. First, diet. The current diet in the majority is full of processed, high fat, high sugar, salty, greasy, dead foods. There is no nutrition. There is no "real" energy within this food that is nourishing your body and your brain. How does one expect to be healthy by eating these types of food?

Nutrition is a very, very important avenue to study on your journey of weight loss, and is worth the effort of looking into. The right kind of fats (which provide satiety), calories (which provide energy), and protein (which provide hormones and other good things), balanced with the other classes of nutrients, vitamins, and anti-oxidants, will seriously impact your health in the most profound and positive way.

Now let's look at sports. Did you know that walking a mere 1-minute, at a brisk pace, burns almost 10 calories? This all depends on the person's metabolism, weight, height, age, sex, etc., but gives a good insight into what a possible exercise program might entail when it comes to promoting successful and healthy weightloss.

Perhaps your goal isn't necessarily to burn calories (as many have grown tired of this concept), but to get in shape, to sleep better, to look good, to think clearly, and to feel alive and happy. Because, you know, exercise can accomplish all of these.

Exercise is a wonderful way to increase muscle tone, which provides you with the look of being fit and healthy. Also, by exerting yourself in a healthy way during the day, you can combat insomnia or sleep issues, and sleep deep in the night. Exercise also helps your mind think more clearly by bringing more oxygen to the brain.

In fact, recent research and scientfic studies in the area of fitness and exercise have found that people who exercise grow more gray matter in the brains. This leads to higher I.Q.'s, clearer thinking, increased strength toward that activity, and the heightened ability to think creatively and quickly.

Exercise also releases seratonin in the brain, which is a hormone that regulates our mood. It is thought that exercise is just as effective in alleviated depression and mood disorders as much as psychiatric drugs. However, you MUST consult your trusted physician on the matter.

In order to get the full of benefits of exercise, it is recommended that you spend 30-60 minutes a day, every day, and then cutting it down to 3-5 days a week. You can absolutely break up the exercise program in 10 minute intervals, throughout the day, for the same results. In fact, more and more research is showing that interval training (exercising intensly in short bursts, with rests in between) is much more effective for burning fat.

Now, the third point (which is my favorite): Change Your Brain! You CAN change the way you think about food, about exercise, and about your body. You can allow yourself to think good thoughts about yourself, about who you are, and you can accept yourself and feel wonderful and excited about being healthy.

Hypnosis works so well in weight loss because it changes the core beliefs on a deep subconscious level. There might be someone who eats a lot (or, on the reverse, very little) because a parent, friend, relative, etc., once made a comment about there body size or shape, eating habits, or whatever. Perhaps it goes even deeper than that, who knows? The main point is that hypnosis and subliminal programs help change the inner dialogue and core beliefs that are associated and contribute to someone's current weight (but basically this applies to every problem in life).
