The Power of Positive Thinking: Is it Enough?
Every where you turn now days, you hear about the “power of positive thinking”, and the magical, mystical ability to “attract” things toward you. The Law of Attraction has gained momentum and power over a couple of years now, and everyone seems as though they are jumping on the bandwagon, trying desperately to “think positive” so that they can “attract” all the right things in life.
Positive thinking is a really good tool to use in transforming your life. So is the Law of Attraction and other philosophies. However, is “positive thinking” enough? Is it the only tool you should use to expand your awareness, change your mind, and ultimately change your life?
My answer? No. Positive thinking is NOT the only tool you should use, and is only a small facet on the wonderful capabilities you currently own in radically transforming and changing the way you think, act, and live.
Positive thinking makes you aware of your thoughts, but it doesn't go deep enough to create lasting change in the way you are thinking and believing within your subconscious mind. Your subconscious is where all your beliefs are held, and, as you know, your beliefs and your thoughts are what control your actions. And (as if it couldn't get even more deep), your actions are what influence your results and success in life.
So...Beliefs influence thoughts, which influence actions, which in turn gives you your results.
(Beliefs → Thoughts → Actions → Results)
If you are constantly believing that you will never make money, and you will always be financially unstable, then you will act upon those thoughts, which will give you the same results you have always been experiencing (i.e. you will remain broke).
That is why “positive thinking”, on its own, won't help, as it doesn't change those deep, inherent beliefs. To get down to deepest core of yourself to change those negative thoughts and limiting beliefs, one must reach the subconscious mind, where all those beliefs, thoughts, and ideas are held. How do you get to your subconscious? You guessed it. Hypnosis!
Hypnosis uses relaxation to lower your brainwave patterns, so you can reach your subconscious mind much more easily. This is the point where you can actually embed thoughts and imagery into your mind, and “re-install” (in a software sense) your thoughts and beliefs. This in turn, over a few hypnosis sessions, will start catapulting you into a new way of acting, thus giving you positive and life changing results!
With hypnosis, I strongly suggest using positive thinking, Law of Attraction, the power of belief, and so on. However, I can't stress this enough: don't limit yourself to just ONE tool. Using only positive thinking might make you more optimistic, but without using other ways to change the way you think and act, you won't reach your full potential.
If hypnosis or subliminal messages sound like a good tool for you, then by all means try it out. You don't necessarily need to buy a CD or hypnosis download to install new beliefs or to change your mind. You can use self-hypnosis, although many find it is much more difficult and takes much longer. However, if you are deeply motivated to learn new things, create an abundant amount of change, and heal your mind, try to learn self hypnosis. You will be glad you did.
